How to chose a dance studio

Choosing where to enroll at a dance studio is a big decision. Dance studios differ in many ways so you want to make sure you are choosing what best meets your needs. Not every dancer is right for every studio and not every studio is right for every dancer. Figure out what is most important to you. Here are some qualities that you should look into while searching for a studio. Do not give up until you find what is best for you! 1. Realistic Expectations Danceography Studio expects students to come to class ready to work hard and HAVE FUN. We do not expect too much from the little ones, but provide them with a prospering environment. At a young age, dance class should be positive and encourage them to move their bodies while boosting their confidence and offering them all of the wonderful benefits of dance. 2. Clearly Communicated Tuition and Fees Monthly tuition is posted on the website as well as in the studio. Costume fees for a showcase will be kept as low as possible. I really try to go above and beyond to make sure you are getting the best deal and not pushing your pocket for the shows. Average costume per class should be around $40.00. 3. Enjoyment or Competition Danceography Studio DOES NOT offer competition. There are plenty of studios in the local area that do, so if that is what you are looking for please ask for a recommendation. Danceography's goal is to teach students how to dance and enjoy dancing, while keeping pressure and costs low. Students will have opportunitites to perform. We are teaching our students at Danceography to only try to better themselves, not compare themselves to others ,which can be very hard for growing children. 4. Instructor and Atmosphere Instructors develop a relationship with the children and are available as a mentor in not just dance, but also in life. An uplifting, energetic atmosphere with a family-like, safe feel. I hope these descriptions help you understand the studios' expectations. Make sure you know what you want and do not stop looking until you find what is best for you. Any questions please do not hesitate to contact us.
